Buyer's Guide
The LX 4.6 model features a lower retrieve than it's counterparts, LX 6.0, and LX 2 Speed. This lower retrieve allows this reel to be used for trolling offshore, slow trolling live baits, as well as for catching a variety of bottom game fish species such as grouper. This reel may be used with monofilament lines up to 50 LB test, although the ideal sizes are 20 to 30 LB Class lines. Braided lines from 80 LB to 100 LB test work extremely well, if the angler is going to use this reel for either offshore trolling, or bottom fishing applications. This reel will fit on any 22 or 24 mm diameter plastic or aluminum reel seat, as well as #1 or #2 aluminum butts.
