Sceptre Gladiator Daytime Sword Fishing 80-130 LB Class Big Game Fishing Rod
I designed the 80-130 LB class Sceptre Gladiator XH Daytime Sword Fishing Rod to provide my customers with a top of the line big game fishing rod featuring the ultimate components at a fair price. This XH heavy current rod is available with both swordfish deep drop combos, individually, or combined with any of our 80 or 130 LB class electric or manual fishing reels. Excellent for daytime swordfishing applications, this rod may also be used for high-speed wahoo trolling, as well as for catching marlin, and giant tuna. Optional Winthrop Titanium roller tip guides are available on this rod model!
The design of the Winthrop Roller Tip is the industry standard when it comes to big game rod design. The Winthrop roller is set into the frame of the guide, which prevents the thinner diameter braided lines from getting between the roller and the actual guide frame. This design prevents line failure due to friction, We use #4 size American Tackle, AFTCO & Stuart brand aluminum uni-butts that are ideal for use with Lindgren Pitman, Kristal, as well as Dolphin electric reels.
