I designed the 60-130 class Sceptre Gladiator Daytime Sword Fishing Rod to provide my customers with a top of the line big game fishing rod featuring the best components at a fair price. This rod is available with both deep drop combos, as well as individually, or combined with one of our 80 or 130 LB class electric or manual fishing reels. This is a true offshore big game rod for swordfish, marlin, and tuna fishing applications.
The design of the Winthrop Roller Tip is the industry standard when it comes to big game rod design. The Winthrop roller is set into the frame of the guide, which prevents the thinner diameter braided lines from getting between the roller and the actual guide frame. Best designed tip guide for preventing line failure due to friction, Built using #4 size American Tackle, AFTCO & Stuart brand aluminum uni-butts that are ideal for use with Lindgren Pitman, Kristal, as well as Dolphin electric reels.
