The Kristal XL 601 M Electric & Manual Kite reel is a powerful reel that can reel in your fishing kite in all wind conditions. The reel has a retrieval speed that is fast enough for quick adjustments. The maximum speed of the 601 M will not break your kite spars. When considering an electric kite reel the retrieval speed is a major consideration. Higher than normal electric reel retrieval speeds will increase the wind resistance on the surface area of the kite, which will exceed the wind tolerance of the spars and cause breakage. The 601 M is the best reel to troll parafoil fishing kites.

The 601 M features a progressive click through lever drag that keeps the lever locked at your specified drag setting. The drag knob is used to fine tune the drag curve allowing the adjustment of the amount of drag pressure increase per click of lever drag increment. Can be adjusted so each click increases drag by one pound, 2, 3, 4 LBS etc. Say you want to use a max drag of 8 LBS, and you have each drag increment set to 4 LBS, a total of 2 clicks will give you 8 LBS, set it at 2, and 4 clicks will give you 8 LBS, and so on.

This Combo includes our Sceptre PRO-Tournament Kite Rod with a stainless steel Winthrop Kite Tip and an aluminum detachable uni-butt. Our kite rods are ergonomically designed with sufficient butt length to allow proper clearance between the back of the reel and the gunwale of the boat. The length of the rod allows for easy attachment of your line to the release clips without reaching out over the side of the boat. Each rod comes with a hook keeper to keep your line organized when the reel is not in use.
