Built on Seeker's 6465 XXXXH e-glass blank. This rod has 7 Fuji SIC HBHG guides, #18 Winthrop Roller tip, and #4 curved unibutt. The design of the size 18 Winthrop Roller tip is vastly superior to other brands because it does not allow the smaller diameter braided spectra lines to get in-between the actual roller and the guide frame. The Winthrop tip is suitable for any line diameter, including the monofilament wind on leader.

Sceptre Gladiator Daytime Sword Fishing XXXXH Big Game Fishing Rod
I designed the Sceptre Gladiator XXXXH Daytime Sword Fishing Rod to provide my customers with a top of the line big game fishing rod featuring the absolute best components to do battle offshore at an outstanding price. This XXXXH heavy rod is available with both swordfish deep drop combos, individually, or combined with any of our 80 to 130 LB class electric or manual fishing reels. The perfect choice for strong current daytime swordfishing applications, providing a stiffer blank, good tip action, and NOT a broomstick. Optional size 18 Winthrop Titanium roller tip guides are an available option for this particular rod model as well as custom wraps made to order.
The design of the Winthrop Roller Tip is the industry standard when it comes to big game rod design. The Winthrop roller is set into the frame of the guide, which prevents the thinner diameter braided lines from getting between the roller and the actual guide frame. This design prevents line failure due to friction. All our big game rods are built using #4 aluminum uni-butts that are ideal for use with Lindgren Pitman, Kristal, as well as Dolphin electric reels.
